Mandy Spratt enjoys an active career as an oboist and music educator.
She has performed with notable ensembles such as the Bay Atlantic Symphony, University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra, University of Delaware Wind Ensemble, Newark Symphony, The College of New Jersey Orchestra, The College of New Jersey Wind Ensemble, and the Center City Chamber Orchestra. She has appeared at several conferences during her time in The College of New Jersey Wind Ensemble, including CBDNA and NJMEA.
Mandy’s favorite aspect of her performance career is performing in orchestras of all varieties. She enjoys playing oboe and English horn, in addition to doubling on saxophone and clarinet. She also enjoys chamber music, having several years of woodwind quintet experience.
She has a passion for teaching, and loves to share her love for music with students of all ages and abilities. Mandy actively teaches oboe lessons throughout northern Delaware and southern New Jersey to students ranging from 4th grade to adult. Mandy also currently serves as a part time K-8 general music teacher, band, and choir director.
Mandy holds her M.M. in oboe performance from the University of Delaware, and her B.M. in music education from The College of New Jersey. Her principal teachers have been Erin Banholzer, Mark Snyder, and David Schneider.
